Hey night, I always wanted to make those, my great grandpa used to make them for trout, but he passed before he could teach me. Do you use cork? And just curious where you buy it and how do you form it into that shape?

brewer just recently saw in a jig book on how to build and shape the balsa. Joes was the place, there was two large jig books. anyways there was a small wood dowel with a balsa cube glued to the dowel. then the dowel was put into a strong hand drill. then a very course sandpaper was used to then form the shape. seemed simple. i just looked at the pictures. find the book.

Replied to his float building request via PM. Just as it is easy to build yourself a custom rod, it is also easy to make a float. OF course, with anything hand crafted, not all finished products are created equally. More you delve into anything crafted, more difficult things become to get a beautiful, outstanding product.

Some like Berkely lightening rods, some like a GLX, which one are you? If the GLX is for you, I have the floats you are looking for....
